Grant Application Process for Speer Trust

Need is identified by you and your community

  1. Contact Speer Trust office - Rev. Jacqueline Taylor, Director
    jackie@speertrust.org     or (302) 366-0595 to begin communication about applying for a Speer Trust Grant.
  2. Submit the following three items. To assist you in this process, you may refer to Speer's criteria.

    Proposal Cover sheet (download here)

    18 copies of up to a Five-page proposal, that you write

    A budget (download) explaining how the project meets the criteria by the deadline.

  3. Approved applicants are sent a letter notifying them if they meet Speer Trust criteria.
  4. An on-site visit is scheduled pending receipt of proposal.
  5. On-site visit by Speer commissioners takes place.
  6. Reports from on-site visits are considered by the Speer Trust Commission at a semi -annual funding retreat.
  7. Grant Applicants are notified of decision. If the grant is accepted, a contract is included detailing any conditions and the terms for evaluation.

The above cycle occurs two times a year.

Deadline April 1 or October 15
2:00 p.m. mailed to:
(If April 1 or October 15 falls on a Saturday or Sunday,
the proposal will be due the Friday before by 2 p.m.)
