Speer Trust?
The Presbyterians’ mandate for use of this gift states:
“We believe that the integrity of our use of this fund will be revealed not only in
the new spiritual horizons which will be opened through our helping people who
are poor but also through our working together with them in a spirit of
compassion.”
Who benefits
from
Speer
funds?
The main purpose of the fund is to
assist
organizations of people who live in
the Eastern Shore of Maryland and have low
incomes to gain control over their own lives as
they address the root causes of poverty. To
accomplish this, funds are awarded to
organizations working in partnership with
Presbyterians mutually committed to
making their community a better place to live.
